One Thousand Words
Writing is not what I do, it’s who I am and storytelling is my passion, not my job!
I have been granted many opportunities to perfect my skills as an editor, writer and content creator. My work has been featured in weekly print publications, including Maroon Weekly and Arabian Horse Life Magazine, and digital work featured on Reporting Texas, Lightbox Collaborative and Medium.
The writing samples below are reflections of my storytelling and reporting abilities.
Reporting Texas serves four primary goals: to showcase the best work of undergraduate and graduate students; to offer quality, in-depth reporting to local, state, and national news outlets; to experiment with new approaches in storytelling; and to combine aspects of community reporting with multimedia resources.
LightBox Collaborative holds good ideas up to the light, helping nonprofits, philanthropies and other do-gooders do better. They have skills and extensive experience developing brand strategies, messaging, and media that make organizations and networks more powerful and effective.
